Mission: To give youth the skills, resources, confidence and opportunity to be the best generation of leaders for the community.
Vision: A collection of youth leaders who exemplify excellence through knowledge, character and service.
Producers: This experience is a collaborative partnership funded by Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Contributing partners include the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, Valley Arts and Education and Arizona Teens.
Event 1: CONNECTIONS (February 2020)
A meet and greet dinner with youth leaders and adult leaders. Most tales of success are seen, heard or read about sometimes creating an imaginary wall of un-attainability. This event is designed to allow participants to receive first hand accounting's of strategies, trials and joys of success from a proven expert. In addition, these leaders go through 3 weeks of leader training to understand leadership dynamics. (register for dinner)
Event 2: CONFERENCE (February 2020)
A full day youth conference equipping participants with the tools and knowledge to effectively create change in their community. The youth conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops, interactive games and prizes. All workshops and panels will be selected and develop by youth.
Event 3: COMMUNITY (April 2020)
A day of service with all participants giving back to the community. Participation will be a requirement of all conference attendees. Youth leaders will be responsible for organizing the services event (s).
Event 4: CELEBRATION (April 2020)
An event acknowledging the efforts of the ACES throughout the leadership experience. This event is intended to create a high energy party atmosphere.
